Hi Ricky.
No, I didn't make it on that occasion unfortunately - probably a good thing anyway as I don't like it when it's too busy, that's one advantage of having a day off midweek!
I've fished Swanswater a few times but not for a while. I prefer to fish Catch & Release and at the time, they didn't offer this option - that may have changed by now.
I've fished Rosslynlee a few times this year already and the fish are superb quality and hard fighting. Best thing about Rosslynlee is that surface sport can be expected almost all year round. There was even a hatch of buzzers today despite there being ice in the margins.
Bit of a jaunt for you though mate but well worth the trip. If you ever fancy it give me a shout.

until the brownies open then, swanswater will be busy every weekend, great for the owner but not much fun for the fishers, in fact swans is busy every weekend.when i think about it. jim

I know what you mean jim. Not much fun when you struggle to find a spot then nobody moves all day. One thing which happened today that pi$$es me off big style, and it happens on a lot of fisheries, is when people retreat to the lodge/ their cars for lunch, leaving their rods/bags etc on the peg/platform - boils my blood. right guys, what about a scottish get together around about early may on Loch Ba, you will learn a lot from the lightning fast brownies there and you will learn a lot about fishing. going to stocked rainbow water does not teach you about proper fishing and if you look at the more succesful anglers in Scotland and I am talking about Internationalist (people who fish for nothing more than Scotland and a gold medal) they have mostly all came from wild water fishing. It is superb and a breath of fresh air. Right I will check out my diary at work and see what Saturday I am not working and I will post a date, if anyone needs a lift let me know and I hope it is windy and wet as that is the best time to fish it. All other nationality are allowed to come also i will collect from Glasgow International or Glasgow Central So come on get a grip on the wild side Cheers dave PS Sandfly dont know what you mean by litter of all the times I ahev been there I have seen very little litter the odd dead deer but that has been it, have u been fishign the wee Ba next to the road by chance

Daver,
Count me in for the Ba trip. I missed the Earn social due to work but fingers crossed i'll be onshoe for this one. It would also be a great opportunity to meet up with yourself and other forum members too for the craic. I really like Loch Ba and the "wee Ba", brings back memories of winning the junior Greenock & District comp there many many moons ago. Anyway, once you've got a date sorted out, let us know & then i'll try and work something out.
Cheers Clydebuilt
