If only I was still living in St'Martins (North Shroppie) I'd be there guv'. Would have loved a fishing bud which shared my own madness for fly fishing. Thing is I now live in Norway, so although I miss out on this opportunity, I get endless amounts of wild fishing and to share my bed with a beautiful norwegian girl.........Life sucks at times

Guilsfield, I had a friend that lived there once. Whereabouts are you fishing? I've fished the Afon Vyrnwy at Llansiffried (can't remeber how to spell it), but without success, though this river right at the foot of the dam to Lake Vyrnwy look tremendous. A few times I seen fish upto 2-3lb rising freely begging to be caught, unfortunately I was on a romantic tour and not a fishing one If you're more into fisheries, try chirk fishery. Here I helped out and fished alot, and a month back was fishing there to great success. Well the sun is shining and it's warmish out, so I'm off fishing for a few hours. How am I going to cope

The Upper Severn above Newtown and the River Dee around Llangollen are waters that should suite your needs. Regards Uskgrub
