Good luck to all - ESPECIALLY MIGHTY WALES!
Let's hope there's no sneaky tricks, like not allowing drogues or something, if it's to be rough!

I,m not sure about internationals, but any other comps on the Lake do not allow drogues. I can,t see any reason why they could not be used, especially for internationals. Jim, remember not to hold the boat on the oars as this is illegal, and get there early, as the boatmen get a briefing before the anglers. Cheers , piscator

The use of a drouge during an international is at the discretion of the host nation.

drogues are not being allowed and there have been comps on the lake this year where they have. Whats the point of boatmen if they cant hold a boat straight....

Point of boatmen? To ensure fair play maybe?
No drogues eh? Hmmmmm, that should make it rather interesting if it's blowing. I had a feeling that call would have been made......

With that wind direction the fish should be in the sheltered areas so might not be crucial. anyway it's not that strong but it is bloody cold..... and a bit wet which means really wet at the lake...

doods, by holding a boat on the oars means holding it stationary usually over fish giving the anglers in that boat an unfair advantage. This is as I have said previously illegal. I never said there was anything wrong in holding a boat straight and afterall, that is one of the jobs the boatmen are there for.

Congratulations to the Scottish team and all the others.

Grayling,
Did Simon Robinson win the Brown Bowl?
Sounds like a great competition. Scotland are definately the team to beat these days! Well done to them!
Good to see Ireland picking up a medal as well.
Hope you enjoyed the day!
