Hi I run the team website for the soldier palmers. Just found this forum today some good reading. I was wondering if anyone would like to have a look at the site and give me some feedback. I intend to revamp the site in the closed season and any suggestions would be gratefully received. If you would like to contribute an article or even give an opinion on our forum you are most welcome. The site address is www.soldierpalmers.co.ukTight Lines Lindsay ;D

Works fine for me. I think the others are having trouble because your website requires a shockwave flash plugin can get it here: (haven't got time now to have a really good look but i think its needed for the scrolling text) www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlashIf somone who is having trouble trys the plugin and reports back, then you'll know for sure whether that is the cause of the problem, Good luck Paul.

I and others feel it's a pity that the Army had to set up their own Federation thereby taking 7 places in the National Final away from the other established Federations. This was clearly done because the quality of the anglers involved had no chance of qualifying via the normal routes that everyone else has to do. It's unfair to have an Eliminator just for the forces.

Hi VP
This thread was started to get some feedback on the website, however I will address the comments you have made. I actually qualified through the south east federation to gain my first cap for England and feel your comment is not warranted. The reason we have our own federation is to give serving members of the armed service an opportunity to qualify. Many of them travel from overseas and do so at public expense during our Championship event. They would not have the chance otherwise. If you fancy your chances I believe the rules state that anyone can fish for a spot in the eliminator. I think you will find that qualifying from our federation is every bit as hard as any of the others.

nice web-site. well done. just shows how well the S-P's have come on in recent years.
Why do morons like VB, try to hijack a sensible thread like this?? Start a new thread if you want to have a whinge, and have a proper discussion. Not difficult is it?!!
or maybe its just someone who is bitter and twisted that they'll never be good enough to qualify for any of the Uk loch-style teams. Good luck to the army lads, there's some real quality in there ...( as long as the fish are taking a washing line!!...sorry ...lol!!)

Sinktip & VD
I notice from the number of posts that you have produced that this is the first time you have posted on this forum. I am no old sweat on this forum but do use forums at work. Now one of two things is happening here (a) You know exactly what you are doing and are using an alias to provoke a reaction (b) You do not understand how forums work. If it is the later please let me explain; I have produced a website for the Soldier Palmers team that I would like some constructive feedback on so I can improve it. To do this I have created a thread on the competition part of this forum. If you wish to abuse the Soldier Palmers team and remain anonymous for whatever reason please start your own thread. It is easy to do if you have any problems I will gladly talk you through it.
P.S Sinktip I teach Level 1 literacy if your interested.

Hi Toshy
Thx for the comment we have not entered a team into the Lexus this year we did it last year the trouble is that there is a lot going on in Sept we have Interservice, AWFMI, National and some of our guys are involved with the home international. We found ourselves quite streched and the decision was made not to enter the Lexus. This was also a finacial decision as you know it costs a packet to work your way through the rounds and the Lexus is not cheap.
