Dear All ;D, This is a big thank you to all who helped me with advice to get prepared and kitted out for my bonefish trip last week to Los Roques - a totally new experience. I had a GREAT time and caught loads of fish - this link showing a page of pics with the best... at 27 inches. www.gm-design-access.co.uk/fishing/los_roques.htmlCheers, GREG

Best patterns were Gotchas in all sizes - 4 to 8 - variety of weights. Clousers - black and chartreuse size 6, 4, 2. Bitters crabs in brown size 8 and 6. My own cunning creation of a foam crab in green size 8 with white/green striped rubber legs and lead dumbell eyes. Green silli leggs gotcha-type size 6. Pink puffs, size 8 and 6. Small MOEs. Locals use gummy minnows - rubber look-alikes, but that's where I draw an imaginary line (don't ask me why). Small flies are really important.
