Hi,
I'm in Miami on business late march and I was thinking of staying on a few days to go saltwater flyfishing.
Any location advice would be appreciated.

I was there in January and the options were fairly limited for self guided. However guided trips are available at $400 or so per day, $350 for a night. Cold weather made fishing tough - I managed one decent snook in 7 hours. By March though things should be rocking. Days are out on the flats for Bones or down to the Everglades for tarpon, snook, ladyfish, reds plus a multitude of other stuff. Nights are around the bridges of Miami itself by boat for Tarpon. I fished with Capt Bob LeMay and would defiantly recommend him. He can be found via the forums at: reel-time.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6have a read of his latest report titled "Tarpon fishing report, Everglades days, Miami nights" - mouthwatering stuff...... Tell him I said hi. ps not sure if Bob targets bones on the flats though. Also see the post below Bob's "24 hours & a rental car" may be of use.

If you are in Islamorada, I had a day last year with a guide called Bill Bender. He's a total nut case with a flats boat that will do 70 mph. It's worth the $450 just for a ride on the boat and I had one of the best days' fishing ever, sadly mostly on bait, but conditions on the day were against the fly. He can be found at Chesapeake Resort, Islamorada, (his wife works there) next to Whales Harbour, at about mile marker 83. I am back there at the beginning of May and I will certainly book him again!
