Hi all,
I´m Jose from Spain and need information about ff for seatrout in Denmark. I´ve read some articles and it´s very interesting. I´m sure that some of you have fished for them so please let me know more details. Best seasons, places, rates, acommodation, etc. I´m thinking in a short trip for 2006, maybe 4 or 5 days. Thanks in advance. Cheers
Jose

Hi Jose, You probably are going to ff for seatrout at the Danisch Sea? In that case: It is indeed a very interesting type of fishing, I love it! But please notice that it is not easy to catch a seatrout. Sometimes you are lucky and you will catch several seatrouts a day, sometimes nothing....I think that is one of the charmes of this type of fishing. I always go the the island Fyn, where you can hire a holiday house (somewhere at the coast line) which is not expensive. Online license: You can order your license for fishing at the danish sea at the following link: www.fisketegn.dk/fisketegn/common/frontPageShow.jsp You can find some photos on my site: www.flyfishingandmore.comI have also placed some reports of flyfishing in Denmark, but unfortunately they are at this moment only in dutch language. In the first years I had a big range of flies with me, but nowaydays I keep it simple. You can see them also in the fliesection. Very easy to tie and very effective. Next to those flies you have to have one or two shrimp patterns. I always go in the spring, but lots of people are going also in the winter or autumn, so choose whatever you want. Each period has it own type of fishery and patterns. Good luck! Edwin www.flyfishingandmore.com

Hi Edwin,
many thanks for your advice. Yes, my first option is in Baltic sea, as other fsisherman from Holland has suggested me. Ok, I´ll check the sites you include in your post. Maybe I choose march as I have some days for holidays. Have you fished in that weeks or later in the spring? Very cool your web site. congratulations. The pictures are great!! Last march I was fly fishing for pike in Holland with Jan Eggers and maybe I come back next year, I loved the way of fishing in urban channels. Cheers,
Jose

Hi Jose, I always go at the end of April / beginning of May. During this period the Belone Belone is also at the coast to spawn. Although this fish has cost me lots of seatrout (concentration), we love the variety. This year I think we (my mate and me) have caught probably over 50 belones during the 5 days of seatrout flyfishing. Oh I love the fishery at the Danisch coast so much, mysterious, a dark sky, flyfishing for hours and than out of nothing, bang!! It is great flyfishing on Pike in Holland isn't it? Hi Edwin,
I´ts probably that I change the dates from march, to april/may as you tell me. I´ve been visiting a web site about Fyn island and there are lots of possibilities to rent a nice house in the shore. Great Also obtaining the fishing license is so easy. Robert, another fisherman from Holland suggested me to visit Middlefart, so I´ll point it in a map... Thank you both dutch fisherman. Cheers
