Just had a look at the the new Orvis 'Zero Gravity' rods. The 8# felt particularly nice and is very aesthetically pleasing, with some nice touches, especially the reel seat. It's taking the place of the T3 - as top rod in the range. So a few deals are on the cards with savings of £100, or more, on the T3's from what I could see.

Bugger I hear even the mid flex Zero Gravity is stiffer than the tip flex T3. Do you know if this is right?

Ive used 2 of them including the 9' #8 4 pce tip flex in Belize. It's a cracking rod, casts a fantastic line with bone fish flies but i also used it with poppers to catch lemon shark up to about 3 foot. Because of the way that it is made with the stronger butt section it has bags of power for playing fish but can be very delicate and accurate when casting. i love them!!
