use disposable plastic gloves with floo gloo. i have had limited success repairing them. the gloo at least stops a split feather from splitting any more so you can use it ok. after all a pefect feather soon splits. as with every other season the idea of jungle cock appeals to me less and less.

Has anyone used the plastic alternative available from glasgow angling centre, amongst other places, at 1-95 for 6 prints per plastic sheet and if so, what are they like?

someone said about using goose biots and trimming them down where necessary. Anyone else used this method? Seems a good idea!

i think it is the next best thing but it all depends on what you need it for. buzzer cheeks look great with it and my dabbler veriants work very well with it, its just a simple dabbler but with buttery coloured biots.
cheers gitto ;D

I mainly need some for tying diawl bach's. Apparently they are devastating on chew when fishing static. Put a jc diawl bach on the point with some holographic on the droppers. Just keep in touch with the line and wait for the rod to be pulled from your hand. Or so they say. Never seems to happen to me though!

Seems a good idea! that was me that was! in typical blue peter style here is one i prepared earlier not a great pic but hopefully you get the idea. buying goose biots at a couple of pound for a mixed pack of colours gives opportunity to change cheek colour. packs normaly come with yellow green red orange and probably 40-50 useable biots on each strip. i do have 2 100% perfect jc capes but use them rarely. here is my jc version wullie

Thankyou for the pics. Gives me a good idea. Looks very similar and its hard to tell the difference, unless your a trout i suppose. Still, better than spending 60 odd quid when you only want to tie some db's. Regards Treenymph
