Has anyone ever used the CS18 (Bill Coe) Ex-long Sea Trout trebles and care to comment on their use instead of small (15mm) waddingtons?
I have an opportunity to by these at 35p per hook in sizes 10-16 but know little/nothing about them.
Thanks
Jon

Not sure on this model ,the Alan bramley lons sshank treble was a stinker dreadful leverage . Me I like the wee waddy !

I've used them but what andy says is true. You would be better using small waddingtons, a little heavier but don't have the leverage problem.

I've used these hooks too and found them to have a fairly high carbon content which tend to make them rather brittle resulting in break-off of one or more of the hook points - often in the vice but more annoyingly, in a fish. Could be that I encountered a bad batch, but, whatever, I stick to Kamasans these days for my seatrout trebles
