PM Chris - he is there on Friday. BUT, I suspect he'll be using boobies on a Di7 Charlie

Cant say that you will find much different to the other waters that you fish, just through the tunnel on the left or right are good areas to start then follow down left bank to the trees on corner, lots of bays further down towards the dam and sailing club area works well too....just enjoy it and go hunting...tightlines.

Enjoyed an evening fishing from the bank at Pitsford yesterday and the fish only came within range late on when I managed to pick up three. It was very bright with a light north-westerly breeze. Despite the conditions, some fish were rising but well away from the bank in the early evening.
Boats were catching whilst anchored quite close to the bank between the Gorses and Brixworth Bay. One near me took a few fishing the bung. Others I could see were pulling lures on sunk lines.
Apparently the fish have been feeding hard on midges and daphnia. I expect that a team of buzzers (black and olive) and Diawl Bachs fished slowly on a floater or an intermediate would work. The washing line would also be worth a go. For daphnia feeders an Orange Blob might work. Ask at the Lodge; I find the staff are always very helpful.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the replies.....
Fantastic day yesterday at Pitsford - will certainly be back! ;D....My boat partner and I had 18 between us, with many more missed and lost and a few breakages. Absolutley amazed by the stamp of fish....they must have averaged 3LB +....stonking great tails, barely a stockie in sight.
Caught a lovely brown...my personal best at 4lb 13oz which I just had to return...it was too fine looking to bash on the head. Variety of nymphs did the job.....crunchers, diawls, and pearly PT's....with the fish mostly found to be 2-3 ft down. My mate caught a lovely rainbow around the 4lb mark with a yellow/orangy blob in its gob...we only fish nymphs and dries usually but for a laugh he popped it on his line and first cast some kind of monster grabbed hold and after a brief struggle broke him...so now another fish has some blob jewellry on its face!!
I also managed 2 x 1 1/2lb perch which I thought were trout especially as I landed them both at once ...on the same cast....bizarre! one on a diawl bach and 1 on a PT.
Excellent day.....next stop Wimbleball on the 27th May for our annual family fishing 'competition'.... well at least I can say I'm in top notch form!!!!!

Pleased to hear that you had such an enjoyable day and that you caught your fish on your preferred method. And what fish too! Rather better than those I have had off the bank so far this season. I too would be interested to know the productive areas. Hope to get in a half day's fishing myself later in the week.

Drove straight to the Pines?? kinda directly opposite Brixworth Bay...we hovered around the point of that area, before it leads into the main basin, between 25 and 50 yds from the bank. Fish were very active in the am before the rain came.Couple of bank anglers catching too so the fish weren't that far out. In the pm we left, as loads of boats rocked up, all in a massive line along that bank, we opted for a bit of space and went to Brixworth bay, where there was noone,100 yds in from the inlet and there were plenty of fish there.
