We had a good day yesterday landing 12 fish between Craig and I.He got his limit and was bang in form and I had four. Biggest went 3lb 14oz and we had two others over 3lb. All the fish were caught on a floating line and small size 14/16 black and olive buzzers from an anchored boat. We spooned all the fish and they were feeding on the same.We fished off the G buoy and number 25 off the dam. All the boats were out as it was a practice day for a big match today. Some of the boats were struggling but they tended to be those that were lure fishing over deeper water in a drifting boat. Grafham is well worth fishing at the moment, the fish are taking buzzers with gusto and they are hard fighting fit fish. Here's Craig with the best fish. Cheers all.

This was my third visit of the year. I would fish buzzer throughout the day on a floater. Keep them small and fish them slow and be prepared for arm wrenching takes. The better fish were off the dam about 50 yards out. Good luck, I hope you enjoy your day.

I noticed the black bin bags on the dam! Does this mean AW have actually removed all the debris after about a 5/6 year build up?
Hopefully it does.
Are the banks still not producing?

Colin, the dam is a huge mess at the current water height. Credit is due to AW who recognise the issue and lots of folk have been clearing up. The plastics will be removed soonest i'm told. If you are after lovely scenery.............................If you want cracking fish................................go to grafham.

I know about the clean ups as I go on them! We picked up 3 binbags of mainly plastic water bottles from Middle road to Hill farm at the GWFFA litter pick. Most comes from the sailing boats. Agree on the fishing I've only fished Grafham since 1970 and been a season ticket holder since 1976 so I have a little idea about the place;D It's such a shame the bank fishing isn't so good at present. I'll have to keep travelling to Rutland where you don't need a boat to catch fish similar to the photograph [cracking fish] Here's a couple links to some Grafham fish Colin

Three beauts there Colin. Love the cap. What are those fuffy coloured budgies bottom right last pic? I haven't missed a year since 1976. Love the place, but the banks have gone and I prefer boat fishing these days.
