Hi Steve, Fished the Anglian Water on Saturday and caught my limit. Killing method was three black buzzers under the bung. All three flies were taken on the day so no specific depth. I bagged up between th church and dam, but heard East Creek and Sykes lane also hold fish. Good luck, Neil.

I am in debted to Charlie for his flies and showing me the bung technique. I was smashed off as the bung knot broke. I use a slip knot (the orvis knot) with the bung fly tied onto the tag end. Unfortunately, after repeated casting caused the bung the pull the tag end and knot away from the leader loop, a fish took and bang.. (1st time in a few years). Steve, I'd get some heavy black buzzers such as flexifloss or epoxy to sink quickly to the correct depth. Rutland sell some bungs: but a booby with lots of antron wool soaked in Gink will do. Alternatively try a CDC sedge.
Neil, Congleton. Alright, it is really float fishing but it works extremely well.

Has anybody taken fish consistently off New Zealand Point or the sailing club?
