Fisged it on Good Friday ( even colder then) 8 of us fished on the boats everyone caught 5,4,4,4,4,4 1,1.
I had 3 nice browns and a lovely overwintered rainbow on epoxy buzzers and JC Hares Ear on a di 3 in the Brown Ale Bay.
I know it was a while ago but it may give some encouragement.
Blithfield is still fishing well off the bank.

Just starting to fish well now.
Set up two rods - one with a Di17 with a black and a white lure, one with a floater with Bibio, Kate Mclaren and montana on point. If calm use diawls and buzzers.
Move around a lot. Don't stick in one place, keep on move as if you don't catch fish right away they are not there. Upperfields has a lot of fish at the moment as does the dam wall. This could change by the weekend though as the wind will move the fish around. Buzzers are hatching off in deeper water and don't be afraid to try the middle if birds are working.
Good luck and let me know how you get on. If the weather if OK you will catch a lot of nice browns.

Hi Bigbob
How did you get on because I will be going this week sometime. Where did you find fish and how deep were they?
Thanks
Iain

Thanks for the info.
Went yesterday, was very bright and fish were down in the water. Found fish in Upperfields and between island and dam wall as you said. Ended up with over 30 in the boat (lost count after a while), nearly all on the montana. Tried the floating line as a few fish were moving but only got a few knocks. went back onto the sinker and the knocks were converted into takes.
In the end not a bad day out at all. No bigger fish to speak of though. these will start to show in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
