Hi all
Was at Grafham yesterday, and surprised to see the water so high. Spent a fruitless afternoon there at Plummer. No fish moving, even as late as 8.30pm.
Has anyone had much joy? Despite the endless positive spin given on the GWFFA website (http://www.gwffa-grafham.co.uk/) Grafham bank fishing seems to be going from bad to worse.
Or maybe I was just in the wrong place... again.

WINDKNOTTER, went there on Friday. With a northerly aimed for G-bank. When I got to marlow car park at 0800 no-one was there! So for the first time ever, I had the stone jetty to myself. Fished a team of buzzers and had 6 superb fish, three over wintered between 3 and 10 feet down. I let an old boy in as i fancied a try on the g-bank and fished it solid without a sniff. I saw no-one else catch form the bank. there were 15 boats all herede like sheep around g-mark catching regulalry. unfortunately, the fish were at least 60yds from the bank. the next few weeks may improve but Grafham from the bank can be all or nothing.

Grafham does usually get harder from the bank between june - august. This is often down to the fact that the fish are hard on the daphnia (which they are now) Good sport can usually still be had whilst the water is still high, however it is often the case of wondering the banks to find the fish. G Bouy, hill farm and plummers should still hold fish. Bank fishing normally improves again when the fish start on the fry around september and is then good right up until the close of the season.
