I'll be fishing there in a couple of weeks so please post a report on how you got on. Bernie seems to swear by cats whiskers and tadpoles at this time of year.

Hi Thanks for your comments. I fished it for the first time last year and caught 8 and lost many on cats whiskers, damsels, buzzers & diawl bachs. I'll give Bernie a ring before I go. Ta, Neil.

Does anyone know what they are stocking there at the moment. Last time I went I was told they have rainbows, browns, blues brook trout and tigers. But i've only ever caught rainbows and browns there. As has everyone i've ever talked to about the fish there! LOL

They used to stock Brookies and Tiger Trout a few years ago but they don't anymore. It's a shame as on a good day you could get your grand slam. They stock with Blues and Rainbows and there is a natural head of Browns aswell. They may even stock some Browns but don't quote me on that.

Hi, Managed just one fish but lost three on the day all on black buzzers - probably have should have gone smaller... Most people struggled. Blues and rainbows were caught on the day. Neil.

Just to let you guys know, in conjunction with Bernie, I will be running a special full day of fly fishing related activities and tuition on Sunday 14th May at Press Manor.
The day will include: - fly casting - entomology - fly tying - buzzer, nymph and dry fly fishing techniques
And will be topped off with a gourmet BBQ!
The cost is £75 all in (drinks can be purchased from the 'bar')
The day is open to anyone, but aimed at relative newcomers to fly fishing, as well as those who wish to brush up what they already know.
Send me a PM if interested...
