Fished Clatworthy last Wednesday - very windy, cold & rainy. Took out a boat and managed two fish in Trip Bay on a fast sink line & boobies, one on black/green & the other orange. These were the only 2 bites of the day.
However during a brief 10 minute sunny spell there was a small buzzer hatch. Didn't have time to take advantage of this though.
Speaking to other anglers in the lodge, the general consensus is that it's pretty difficult, though a few have managed 5 fish limits from Rowes Farm end on sinking lines - the opposite end of the reservoir from where I was fishing!

Rowes Farm is left of the lodge - walk down to the bay then dogleg right - just follow the crowds - you've got deep water (10-15ft) very close in - throw out something black, orange or a cats whisker on a sinking line and bingo!!
The bay just after the dam is Dudderidge. Trip End/Bay is the next one after that.

I would fish Tripp. I like to fish away from the crowd and you will find better fish down that end. If from the bank keep moving until you find the fish. TobyM

Dudderidge is my favourite spot consistant good sport , often very tight to the bank due to the steep shelving with the added bonus its never crowded ;D Dipper

I cant make it , doing family stuff, have a good one .Wind permitting I would have a look at Dudderidge close in. I expect most people will be going left to Rowes farm which is why I would favour right . tightlines Dipper
