Has anyone fished the Ure at Bainbridge recently ?
I'm thinking of fishing it over the weekend (after finding out about the comp on the Wharfe) is it any good ? Which stretches are the best ?
Cheers,
Drfrank

Doc,
Haven't fished Bainbridge (would be keen to hear any reports), but I know the HawesAA water quite well, further upstream. Well worth a look if small river fishing is your thing and very pleasant at this time of year - some surprisingly good fish (both trout and grayling) too.
Good luck.... Matt

Matt,
thanks for the info !
I was really looking forward to fishing the Wharfe this weekend but the Ure seems a perfectly reasonable alternative I will report back depending on where I fish and the weather (if it is a washout I may well pitch up to the Chatsworth angling fair)
Cheers,
Frank

I fished Bainbridge a couple of weeks ago. It was very, very low and crystal clear. All the rain in the last couple of days may make it very high and coloured, possibly not fishable this weekend.
The bottom end, towards Askrigg, seems best. It is also worth trying the Bain from the village up towards Semerwater.
