water up and nicely coloured. Was out for 2hrs this evening.Never saw a fish , not a salmon or a trout. Not a rise anywhere. Then i wondered why the river hadn't dropped back a bit, no rain all afternoon really, and i found out thet they have been generating again.Hope they stop as the river will be bonny 2morrow/tues and a few fresh fish should be up by then.

Was on the drummond castle beat today ,sunday, water high and full of debris. Saw 2 salmon . caught and returned one brownie taken deep but never saw a trout rise all day or evening . Where do all the trout go when its this high? I fished every piece of slacker water where i expected fish to be out of the faster flow but it was very difficult.

How is the Crieff Water doing for the Sea-trout this season?
I spent a week in June last year on the Coup, and Temple Mill, Bakers area. Was cursed with low water, except at the end of the week - and then only all I had to show for the week was a lost sea-trout in the Coup.
Will be returning though again this year though. Hopefully the weather will be better timed!?
