I dropped my bro off at uni in exeter yesterday & took my kit in the hopes of exploring one of the new beats in the scheme. Unfortunatly the weather was pretty miserable so I decidied just to have a look at the nearest bit of water. I found the river Culm easily by following the directions and wondered up the stretch. Its a lovely bit of river but seemed more suggestive of pike than trout. Has anyone had any good trouting here? What I think would be good is to have a thread where people can report on their experiences on these rivers and hopefully post some pics of the water, just to expand on the information given in the booklet. I wanted to explore the South Yeo but it was a bit too far & needs a nice day. I live up towards Salisbury so it would be nice to know which rivers are worth the treck. I can't really get the ball rolling as I left my camera in the car If you haven't got a clue what Im on about, have a look at... www.angling2000.org.uk/index.htmJ ;D

Do try and get to fish the Inny. Its my home water and part of it is open to the 'Angling 200' scheme. Wild browns to about a pound and the chance of a Sea Trout or Salmon given some water. This tributory of the Tamar clears very quickly after rain so keep an eye on the weather and try and get there soon after some rain. Grannom are about at the moment along with Black Gnats and False March Browns. Tight Lines, Rod.

great scheam but I always seam to have tickets left at the end of the season. Treat that as a donation. Would value pointers as which are the best beats.
