I need to book a day's fishing this May on a chalkstream as a special present to my Father (I know I'm crazy, what with the lack of water this year, but he's only 60 once). Not much left on the market, but then I get the impression many day ticket places aren't advertised on the internet....Has anyone got any thoughts on where's the best bet given low water is generally suffered by all / most?
I'm originally from the north so have very little knowledge of fishing southern rivers.

Depending upon your budget speak to Simon Cooper at www.fishingbreaks.co.uk. He has many waters with some that keep their levels better than others. Prices vary a lot!
