splash2 You can get a day ticket for the Windrush at Burford, from the needlework shop. The shop is half way down the hill, just up from the Orvis shop, ask for Mr. Cohen, I think it is £10 a day or £20 a season. However its not great as it is always a little coloured. NOT STOCKED all wild fish!!!!! As for the Coln St Aldwyn beat on the Coln, again its not great. Deep and slow. There are cheap season tickets around Witney, these can be purchased from State Tackle in Witney. They range from £40-£65. The £40 Newlands stretch is a little bit wild and over grown Deep & Slow huh? Thats what the missus says about me ;-D. Thanks for the info; it's always great to have alternative venues.

Coln St Aldwyns stretch IS a bit dull and slow, also very heavily stocked, though you can have a bit of fun on the short stretch of the leat. Andy
