Not strictly a fly fisherman, I came across Mr S H De Meza after selling him our car on Ebay - user name was 'astledavid'. Having a few problems with him making fraudulent claims and demands for money which the police are now dealing with for us. Thank you for your discussion about him - it's been invaluable in our uncovering his character to aid our case with our harassment claim. We may never have discovered his true colours if we hadn't have stumbled across your amusing and entertaining discussion about him - it's helped us through the dark days! My partner had the displeasure of meeting the "Mighty" business Mogul himself. Suffice it to say - he is again suspended from Ebay again as we linked him to 'an.walker'. Any sites you see him trying to deal on - please send us the links and we will pass it on to the police as there is the little incident of international fraud to be looked at as well- follow this link: 72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:7szVbgdISFYJ:beta.startups.co.uk/Forums/ShowPost.aspx%3FPostID%3D104536+jardine+de+meza&hl=en&gl=uk&ct=clnk&cd=1Thank you guys!! ;D

if you go on google earth to 1 moss lane, timperley, it's very scary. The typical suburban street. Now which one is Simon's house. Or is it the industrial unit right on the corner?

Thank you for bringing this thread back, tkkennerson. Many of the more recent members would not be aware of S de Mezza and his doubtful business practises.
We first came across the man back in 2002 when, on the predecessor to this site, the Fish & Fly forums, a couple of the James Jardine rods(?) were tested by some members. A lengthy debate resulted with several very abusive and threatening posts from the great man himself. Unfortunately these posts are no longer available as the F&F archives have been removed from the web.
What annoys me is that legitimate international trade sites will accept such people based on what they include in their business description and do so without proper checking. As this appeared to be the case with one, 'Trade India.com' (a bona-fide trade information site) I have written to them and included a couple of links in order that they may research the background of of Mr. De Mezza. It might be useful if we all did this as a matter of course whenever we come across a similar site. In my opinion the man is evil and we should take every opportunity to curtail his activities.
Dave.

Now which one is Simon's house. Or is it the industrial unit right on the corner? I can say without fear of legal action (I have been there and seen the empire building itself) that it is indeed one of the houses. ;D ;D

Well if the police want to arrest him, it's not that hard to find his house. It's the one under the post code in the picture. International import export my A*RSE
