Jim,
If you hooked a 3lb grayling on a jelly baby, would it be 'illegal'? Are jelly babies classed as a 'live bait'? lol.

Can anyone come up with a weighted jelly baby pattern? Toying with the idea of lashing one to a hook and coat with hard as nails. Black one for trout. Pink one for grayling. Maybe make an extra heavy sacrificial jelly baby. lol. Maybe have to scale down to a gummy bear if the fish get pernickety!

hi guys , i dont like to be the prophet of doom but i drove over the bridge over the river leven at 5.10 pm and it was very high, i've just watched the news and it said that there is to be very heavy rain until friday evening .If this keeps up the Earn will be in the parks i dont fancy spending another day like last saturday on the Tweed, high and dirty, lowest amount of grayling caught at the Earlston competition as long as i can remember

The river is sitting at 1 metre but that was at 05.15 this morning before most of the rain fell today, The Leven was not as high this morning going to work but well up tonight
