I Didn't realise that Tango was from the Wirral. I knew it was over that way somewhere and frankly it is all the same to me. Bit like true geordie or cockney. They have their definitions but I think Wirral is close enough.
Cheers, Alan.

Cothi, The question is usually worded "Who was the first Yorkshire captain to tour New Zealand?" Which, as you and Phil have correctly identified is James Cook. D Thanks Clive. Anyway, trickery aside, was it Leonard Hutton or not? I think it was. Now there is a man you all should be proud of. Born and bred tyke. My first Gradidge bat had Len Hutton's signature on it. I was proud. Used to regularly treat it with Linseed Oil. Those were the days.

Who did win the War of the Roses? By my reckoning it was a draw.

sound of pin being pulled, a metallic "ching" as the fuse ignites.. a low lob over the Humber from the safety of Lincolnshire... Seaweed, it looks like it went to penalties, the two princes were benched. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Battle of Bosworth Field. Henry defeated and killed Richard at the Battle of Bosworth Field (1485), claiming the crown which was found hanging upon a bush, and placing it upon his own head. Bosworth marked the end of the Wars of the Roses. There was no one else left to fight. It also marked the end of the feudal period of English history. With the death of Richard III the crown passed from the Plantagenet line to the new House of Tudor, and a new era of history began. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remind me to ask this at the Social will you.. oooooohhhhh the fog on the tyne is aaaalll mine....

Lesson 1 - never log on when you are drunk Lesson 2 - Diplomatic reason - Draw cos Henry married Elizabeth from York - which is why Tudor rose is red & white Lesson 3 - Real reason why it was a draw - was cos Percy of Northumberland kept his distance cos he would have annihilated everyone.
