It looks like T.P and I have secured a week on the Tweed at Caberston for five rods on September 25 2006. Caberston is owned by Michael Evans and given water can fish its socks off for salmon. In low water there is a good head of trout and sea trout to keep us busy and there is a ghillie and comfortable fishing lodge. In the event of high water we could get day tickets on the Ettrick or Yarrow which generally run clean. I would be disappointed if we didn't get at least one salmon a day. Accomodation is in my House about half an hours drive away and we will split the week in half : team one fish Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday and team two Thursday, Friday and Saturday We have worked out an all inclusive package of £150 per day including Fishing, Lodging, all meals including packed lunch and wine and spirits ( we might regret this ) The only extra is the ghillies tip. Please let me know if you are interested and we can get this off the ground, Michael Evans has given me until Monday. Mick

I'm not even going to ask the government about this one - it is almost a year away anyway.

A. I might enjoy February so much I'll want to go again in September. B. Work may demand I'm in Romania in February and I might not get to the February trip.
Either way, it wouldn't make sense for me to not be put down for the Thu-Sat dates. I'm in.

Saturday:'In the morning, fishing my guest rod, Stevie hooked and landed 2 fish, one estimated at betwen 30-35 lb and one very fresh 10lb hen. In the afternoon he and Eddie McLellan went down to the Bridge Pool and in the failing light reported a huge shoal of fish stopping in the clear water by the burn. Between them they notched up a further 15 fish, '
