Hello All, I am looking forward to meet all of you next Saturday. I intend to come by car but if there is any one who can pick me up at Wickford that would be nice. I will be able to leave the car to my wife.

Wrong side of London for me unforunately Pierre Well at least I am not coming here with a run of blanks as I had a couple of 4 - 5lb Jacks at Pitsford today Still need trout though Mine will be pre-warmed and snuggly ;D I put my new gear to the test today as well Nice and warm, though so light you barely feel you're wearing it ;D ;D ;D

There is a hut with a kettle and free tea/coffee if it's really cold, but one end is always sheltered, unlike some places.
If the water temperature drops a lot it'll be bottom scraping with boobies/hedgehogs, by the way.

Just a tip for the lads, when you get out the car tuck your trousers into your socks. That way when your b0llocks freeze off you'll know where to find them.

Rich, Don't panic - I went for a walk round it yesterday pm and the fish still seem to be shallow, one guy had nine on Tuesday on an orange lure under a floater, said the fish were bow waving towards it. Water temperature is 10 degrees C, so not that cold. I do expect to catch on the bottom, but never fish boobies static, just a slow nymph like figure 8 is the way to do it. It's just another method to me and a brilliant one from now for the next four months. The other one that works when it is cold and bright is a bloodworm fly under a bung, but I guess most of you would rather blank than catch that way, also By the way, I've already promised my spare Di7 to Micklen ;D Charlie
