Hi, Just recieved one of them Pentax Optio WP cameras and took it for a test drive this afternoon. I was fishing my local river, the Ballinderry. I managed around 29 fish in just over 2 hours, most of which took a grey klink. i would have taken more pictures but I'm awaiting delivery of a new memory card and the camera can only hold 6 pictures without it. The view of the river: One of the fish. Most of the fish were small, averaging 3 or 4 to the pound: Whats this fly? I think it was a LDO, not too sure though. A lot of LDO's were hatching. The pool above the weir: Brennan

Is that the older WP or the newer WPi?

Thanks lads, Nicepix - The older WP. I didn't know there was a new WPi until the day after I paid for the WP!

Hi Trout, LDO - Large Dark Olive. I'm lucky, cos the river is only 250 meters from my house Brennan

brennan, Yes, they are cracking photos, and the photo of the dark olive is sensational. I have had many of these flies in my hands over the years, but have never seen the colours like this before. doonicus

what stretch is that Brennan? I used to fish upstream from Coagh, there's a good weir there and sometimes you'd get good dollaghan there and the odd grilse. I loved to fish the wet flies there early season, Partridge and Orange, Snipe and purple etc.

Take it that the Brown trout season opens earlier in your neck of the woods than in Scotland on the 15th?
