Andy,
Is the Hugh Falkus Hexagraph sea trout special the same as the Hexagraph salmon and sea trout 10.5 ft rod rated 7/9? If not, how does it differ?

But do you notice it is nearly always their Salmon rods that crop up in disscussion. I can not remember a time when one of their Trout rods was mentioned & even if it was, just casually. Why is that? Do they not have a range of Trout rods? Do they not advertise like the others do. Just wondered Tight Lines Highlander they are advertising the trout rods in the mags at the moment. The interesting thing is that I am sure the front locking ring on the reel seat is the wrong way round ! Anybody else noticed this ? Mick

Some time ago i asked a similar question to Robert and got a few replies which did help, but i cannot help feeling that the company is not quite swimming with the rest of the ducks. Their rods are highly regarded, but their web site is down. When it was up it wasn't that good, in fact it was poor. I can only hope that the reason it's down is because it's being upgraded. A few of my mates have their rods and they are all different and also very good. Hexographs, a Merlin and a couple of Powerlites. I just wonder what is going on and hope that they can get it together, for our benefit obviously.
Cheers, Calum

Mick do not buy the mags anymore. Reason I brought it up was the fact there has been lirterally 100s of threads about Sage Daiwa Loomis Hardy,Bloke and even De Mental. But other than the Norway 15 being mentioned a few time literally nothing else about this UK companies Trout fly rods until now when I brought it up. Nice to see a few out there. Remember having a cast with a 11ft Silver Stream (Fibre glass) A lovely rod "at the time" Tight Lines

Andy, That is a truly generous, and most tempting, offer and one that I sincerely appreciate. I should tell you, though, that there is every chance that much of my sea trout fishing is likely to be done next season on the Border Esk, where I may be unfortunate enough to encounter an Environment Agency bailiff intent on reporting me for the heinous crime of fishing in Scotland without an English rod licence. The thought, then, of having to tell you that your prized possession has been confiscated, in evidence of the crime, is unthinkable. Until more reasonable times, I’ll just have to make do with my old Multitrout. I’ll still keep an eye on Ebay, though!
