If like me, you're the type who enjoys a good long hike into the wilderness from time to time, you may be interested to know that a small pot of vaseline can come in very handy if you are 'caught short' and have to make a dash towards the undergrowth. By smearing the stuff around your 'exit point' you will amazingly dispense with the need for any wipeage and the associated problem of paper disposal thereafter. An old army trick, apparently Matt

And i was thinking of planing a fishing trip back to the UK this year but after reading this thread i think i will stay here in Oregon . cothi, have you read this and are you still thinking of moving back to the UK?.

another great tip with vas, when tying dries with seals fur rub your thread in it, makes a big difference, try it
