I have visited this this lochan twice in the past but not to fish as I was just a passer by on my way to the Binniens and on the second occasion Sgurr Elide Mor. Yesterday I set out to fish the Lochan and climb Binnien Mor. I set off from Mamore lodge about half nine and arrived at Coire an Lochan just before midday. My two mates who are non fishers set of to climb Binnien Beag and Mor and left me at the Lochan to fish for a couple of hours. I arranged with them that I would meet them up on Binnien Morlater in the day. After lunch I set about fishing but to no avail no sign of fish I'm afraid plenty wee sedges and wee black flies. I fished for about an hour but never really explored the lochan thoroughly water was remarkably clear and looked quite deep. Although I never caught or saw a fish I had a fantastic day in a fabulous and dramatic setting.the views from the mountains in this area are phenomenal especially the view of Coire an Lochan from sgurr Elide beag on the way up to Binnien Mor Like I already said I left the loch after a fishless hour and climbed up the stalkers path to Elide Beag and then on up to Binnien mor where I met up with my two mates. Here are some of my photos taken loch side and from the mountains above and around Coire an Lochan hope you all enjoy them.

Fantastic scenery and great photos there cocksparra, that looks like the kind of place you could fish fish without minding too much if you didn't catch (well, almost....). Makes me feel that I' m not putting enough effort into my own fishing, must try harder!
