I've fished Aldin a few times and found it to be a good little fishery, especially considering its only been there 2 years. If the fish are rising try a little dark f-fly or cdc. If deep try a cats or a viva. Buzzers under an indicator will do well on most days as well. If you're there early you get a free bacon butty as well! . Might even join you Thursday.

Shildon. I've fished Aldin a dozen or so times, usually when the river Wear isn't fishable. It's a good little fishery for c&r. Half a day for six quid is hard to beat round here. I'll be there mid-morning Thursday.

Guys,
Any of you know if the Grange Angling Club is still operating? Its waters are mainly the Wear just downstream of Durham and I think there is a still water within the prison grounds.

That would have been the big old browny that nobody has hooked in ages, i've seen one similar size around the edges, think it got sick of people chucking fluff in the middle.
Dont forget to put a quid on the tagged fish, it was pulled last week but the lad didnt have a quid on...its a Goldie so it has to be returned, as do the Brownies!
If anyones up on Sunday give me a hout!
