Find someone with a copy of "Trout and Salmon's" 220 Favourite Flies: For Salmon, Trout, Sea Trout and Grayling. It's in there.

TWP I also tried in vain to find a pattern or tying sequence for this fly. I used the recipe as given by IrishAngler above and managed to find sme pictures of same fly in a fishing magazine called "Irishangler". Interms of the recipe it i definately spot on. I hahve tied these now in 3 variations with slightly differing colours of seals fur. All blended with hares mask fur and a gold oval tinsel rib. Tie the fly to body finished phase and just before begining the torax. Now take a piece of 12lb mono about 12 inches long. Nibble the end of it to place little ridges. Tie in facing backwards. Now tie in the 3 aforementioned hackles. Pale Dun, Med olive and Yellow(Golden) olive. Apply thorax dubbing I opted for a darker mix by adding a very small amount of fiery brown seals fur. Dub on thorax. I now, and this takes dexterity, hold the tail of mono in your right hand using little fingers and wind the hackles, I did all 3 together around the mono. I usually made 5 turns. Stretch this over the thorax and tie of. Then I made one further turn with the hackles and tied them of. Whip finish. I used Kamasan B170, this is the light wire hook in sizes 10 and 12. When finished the fly will sit flat on the water. I had never tied these before but am visiting Ireland to fish Lough Erne next week. One of the local guys I have been chatting to said this fly is a must during Mayfly time. I will when I work out how to use my digi camera properly do a photo sequence. Piscator
